APPLICATIONS INVITED FOR SCHOLARSHIP

Applications shoudl be submitted on or before December 24, 2009

The Government has invited applications for the central sector scheme of scholarship for college and university students.

Students studying in first year at recognised colleges or universities are eligible to apply. under the scheme, the first-year undergraduate
students will be given Rs.1000 every month and when they join postgraduate programmes they will be given Rs.2000 every month. for
students pursuing engineering or other professional courses Rs.1000 would be given ill third year and Rs.2000 a month on the fourth and fifth years.

Applicatnts must have appeared for March 2009 class XII examinaions and the parents annual income must be less than Rs.4.5 lakh, a press release said.

Following are the cut-off marks for students to apply.;

For Science Group: Boys (oc)-1107 and Girsl (oc) 1108, Boys and Girld (OBC) 1157, Boys (Sc) -1097 and Girls (SC) 1091,
Boys (ST) 960 and Girl;d (ST) 961

For Commerce Group: Boys (oc) 978 and Girls (oc) 1069 Boys (OBC) 1059 and Girsl (OBC) 1108, Boys (SC) 980 and
Girls (SC) 1027 Boys (ST) 975 and Girls (ST) 961

For History Group: Boys (oc)-966 and Girsl (oc) 968, Boys (OBC) 961 and Girls (OBC) 981 Boys (SC) 960 and Girls (SC) 969,
Boys (ST) 965 and Girls (ST) 962


For Vocational Group: Boys (OC) 960 and Girls (oc) 961 Boys (OBC) 1106 and Girls (OBC) 1110 Boys and Girls (SC) 960
Boys (ST) 1066 adn Girls (ST) 1078
